Proof of brainwashing and other random pictures

My 5 year old son likes baseball and soccer.  My 7 year old daughter likes gymnastics and piano.  With that being said, if you were to ask them the best sport ever they would both quickly say "swimming".  Why?  Maybe because I have only said it once a month since they were born.  Once a day during any swimming championship and almost every time we come within sight of a swimming pool.

So on "favorite sport night" at church, my daughter was torn....gymnast or swimmer?  Swimmer or gymnast?  I stayed out of it and kept quiet.  She came down looking like this.....

My work here is done.

Onto other randomness:

We trick or treated as a lion, a butterfly and ninja turtle this year:

My friend also got some great pictures of the night over on her blog and you can see them by clicking HERE!!  By the time we actually went trick or treating we had shed the mask, broken the zipper on the lion costume, shed the antennae and wings and bundled up.  Basically we looked like we do on any average day but we knocked on doors and asked for candy.

Add in some more dress up at school the week after Halloween:  Favorite character day!! Isaac came home with the idea of Cat in the Hat.  Except with UNI colors because that is the hat we have....GO PANTHERS (more brainwashing of children has taken place in selection of college as well) and Andie went as Josephina (American Girl doll) and brought the book because it was not as recognizable.

And what would be a December November update without a picture of the first snow!!  Even though I wasn't quite ready for it we were all mesmerized by it....captured by the "not true to how life really is picture" of all three children sitting extremely close together for more than a minute and not fighting.......

More snow on the ground since and I think we may have officially said goodbye until April to seeing the ground around these parts but we (as in the kids) have been excited about playing in snow again.
