A day in the life of......

Except for the weather, Tuesday turned out to be exactly what I pictured a day in the life of vacation in Florida to look like.  We had walks on the beach, smoothies, and dolphin adventures.  Tuesday dawned with cold weather and clouds.....as most of our beach vacation would be.   We still took advantage of our location and above 0 temps and took a walk along the beach....

I love this one of the family we vacationed with.  With the sound off, this picture looks like such a cute, sweet family picture.  Dad pushing stroller and giving shoulder ride to little girl, mom holding little girls hand - super sweet right.  Angelyn....you look a little cold but other than that this could be a postcard for Destin.  IF you had sound on this picture you would have a completely different image in your mind of what is going on here, in fact I am giggling thinking about it right now.

Cute little street we stayed on, stopped at a great coffee, smoothie, bar corner stop.

Lunch on our deck and some dolphin sightings in the Gulf behind us!  Which we followed with some MORE beach time....because come one, we're at the beach....can't let weather in the 50s stop you.

After seeing some dolphins from a distance out our back door, a dolphin cruise sounded like fun....we were ready to see some up close! . Took a cruise around Destin harbor and then the kids fed the seagulls. They loved it while I kept thinking my eyes were going to get pecked out. I almost could not feed the seagulls and these things usually don't freak me out but their claws were coming so close to our faces....

After 40 minutes we started to see Dolphins. Then saw more and more of them.....a whole pod! And they started to jump out of the air for us....which I guess is unusual. It was so fun to see them....about 12 in all. When we got cold, which if you can't tell in the pictures...we did,  we went inside to warm up and then come out again to be close to the Dolphins, feed seagulls, etc.   After about an hour or so we headed out into the gulf and the kids got a turn to drive the boat....they loved it.

 For dinner were idea to all go out to Mcguires, an iconic Irish pub in the area. We walked in and there were $1 bills all over the walls and ceilings, food was good and company was great. Bedtime was next on agenda.
